Overview: The Baldwin Group, Inc. (TBG), a woman-owned small business providing professional services to the Federal government in the fields of technology, science and health and human services seeks a Business Development Director, who is a seasoned self-starter with strong interpersonal and communication skills, responsible for building and expanding the company’s presence in the Federal government arena. Experience in the environmental sector (NOAA, EPA, Interior, etc.) is a plus.

5 – 10 years of proven Federal government business development experience

Develop and implement a successful target marketing strategy to widen TBG’s business development capacity
Responsible for increasing the current and future revenue base by building and expanding the whole company’s presence in the Federal government arena
Track new markets and emerging trends while proposing innovative services and negotiating new strategic partnerships
Pursue leads and document prospective clients’ contact and be ready to share information with TBG’s CEO, President, COO, Program Managers, and staff
Provide direction and coordination of other staff who are working on business and proposal development
Oversee and track all bid and proposal efforts, including wins and losses and assist in capture management and writing proposals
Nurture client and partner relationships and appropriately assist with contract requirements and teaming arrangements and develop an evaluation process to gain feedback
Manage and update the TBG Business Development SharePoint website and provide recommended revisions to TBG’s marketing collaterals
Participate and report in all TBG Senior Staff meetings related to business development
Demonstrate a knowledge and agreement of TBG’s mission, vision, SOPs, confidentiality standards, and Code of Ethics
